Is Burton part of Topman?
Burton and Topman are subsidiaries of the Arcadia Group, which also own Miss Selfridge, Wallis, Evans and Dorothy Perkins. 

What does Burton mean?
The company was founded in Chesterfield in 1903 by Sir Montague Maurice Burton under the trading name The Cross-Tailoring Company. by 1929 it had 400 stores, factories and mills. 
By the time Montague Burton died in 1952, his company was the largest multiple tailor in the world.

Is Burton closing down?
In June 2019, Burton was one of many companies under the Arcadia group that has had to close a large number of it's stores such as Dorothy Perkins, Topshop, Wallis and Evans. It was a drastic rescue deal, which resulted in 1000 jobs being axed. 

Who owns the Burton Group?
Philip Green is the sole owner of Burton. The company became part of Arcadia Group Brands Ltd in 2002, which is part of the Arcadia Group.
